O. James Sterling, III, Managing Director. Mr. Sterling founded Aleutian Capital after four years with management consulting firm Booz & Co. (formerly the corporate strategy division of Booz Allen Hamilton), one of the world's largest and most respected strategy and operations consultancies. At Booz & Co., he led projects in business strategy and operations improvement across a range of service and manufacturing industries. Prior to Booz & Co., Mr. Sterling was with Renwick Capital Management, a hedge fund investing in public equities, options, real estate and private equity transactions.
His experience includes buyout and growth capital investing, merger integration, market entry strategy and implementation, evaluation of new business opportunities, business model development, and the launch of new business services. He holds an M.B.A. with distinction from Columbia Business School and a B.A. from Boston University.
Mr. Sterling is a member of the Board of A Caring Hand, the Billy Esposito Foundation, and previously served on the Board of Karmaloop, LLC until the sale of a majority of its equity to Insight Venture Partners in 2008. He is an active pilot, holding an Airline Transport Pilot license and multi-engine rating, and is a frequent backpacker and traveler. Adventures have included several trips north of the arctic circle in Alaska and Canada, as well as to Antarctica. |

Louis E. Black, Managing Director. Lee Black has been engaged in private law practice in New York City for over thirty years, having started his career at Carter, Ledyard & Milburn. He formed the law firm of Black & Associates in January, 2002. From 1986 until December, 2001, he was a member of the law firm of DeForest & Duer, as Chairman of its Corporate Department. He also serves as general counsel to other business enterprises.
Mr. Black served as Vice Chairman of MacMillan Ring-Free Oil Co., Inc., a publicly traded oil and gas company, in 1986 and 1987 and was a member of the Board of Directors of Vault.com Inc., a career-oriented Internet and publishing company, from 1999 until October 2007. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of United Compressor, LLC, a company engaged in the installation and maintenance of compressed natural gas stations and a member of the Board of Directors of the Cleveland E. Dodge Foundation, a private charitable foundation.
Mr. Black received his BA in 1968, his law degree in 1971, and his Master of Laws in Taxation degree in 1979, all from New York University. |

Jorge Carrion, Senior Vice President. Prior to his position with Aleutian Capital Partners, Mr. Carrion had worked for six years in South America as a financial analyst and advisor. He has served companies in diverse sectors such as energy, banking and capital markets.
Mr. Carrion, as a financial analyst at Tecsur S.A (energy), was involved in several projects entailing mergers and acquisitions, valuations and capital budgeting. Prior to Tecsur, Mr. Carrion served as a portfolio manager at Banco de Credito, providing financial advisory services to privately held middle-market companies.
During business school, Mr. Carrion worked as an intern at Morgan Stanley in equity research. He earned his MBA from the William E. Simon School, University of Rochester with a major in finance and corporate accounting and a B.A from Universidad de Lima (Peru). Mr. Carrion is fluent in Spanish and enjoys soccer and adventure sports. |

Noah Anderson, Senior Analyst. Mr. Anderson was an independent research analyst at Coleman Research Group, concentrating in the industrials sector. He was previously a budget analyst with the Georgia General Assembly providing financial advisory services to the Georgia House of Representatives. Mr. Anderson also completed a summer internship program with Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Anderson earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Georgia State University. He enjoys traveling and spending time in outdoor recreations. |

Connie Chan, Senior Analyst. Prior to joining Aleutian Capital, Ms. Chan worked at State Street Corporation’s analytics group with a focus on private equity. She was a summer analyst at Bloomberg L.P. and held an internship position with Moors and Cabot Inc. in the alternative investments group.
Ms. Chan graduated from Boston University’s School of Management with a dual concentration in Finance and Accounting. |

Ashish Gupta, Senior Analyst. Mr. Gupta was previously an equity trader at Jasper Capital, concentrating in the energy sector. He has also worked as a financial analyst at L-3 Communications and as a finance systems intern at the London Stock Exchange.
Mr. Gupta graduated from the University Richmond with degrees in economics and finance. He is currently a CFA level three candidate. He enjoys swimming and reading, and is an avid New York Yankees fan. |

Jonlin Pei, Senior Analyst. Mr. Pei previously worked at FactSet Research Systems, a leading provider of global financial and economic information. As a senior analyst at FactSet, he played an integral part in the company's M&A division, helping to lead research teams in two offices. Mr. Pei mentored and helped direct analyst efforts in the North American M&A and private equity markets and contributed research to multiple financial publications used by financial, legal and media firms worldwide. In addition to his experience at FactSet, Mr. Pei has also worked closely with several entrepreneurs and small business owners in the manufacturing and construction industries.
Mr. Pei received his bachelors degree from Carnegie Mellon University and has passed all three levels of the CFA exam. He is an avid photographer and enjoys spending time in the outdoors hiking, snowboarding and mountain biking. |

Kenneth To, Senior Analyst. Mr. To worked for Feingold O’Keeffe Capital, a long/short hedge fund focused on non-investment grade debt securities. Previously, he worked with Forex Capital Markets as summer analyst in their research group focusing on Japanese markets.
Mr. To graduated with dual concentrations in Applied Statistics and Computational Finance from Babson College. He grew up in California and his hobbies include fantasy baseball and sabermetrics. |

| Jeremy Isagon, Analyst. Before joining Aleutian Capital, Jeremy Isagon was an equity trader at SwiftTrade Canada. He specialized in developing trading strategies for the financial sectors on the New York Stock Exchange and Toronto Stock Exchange. He was previously a personal banker and financial advisor at ScotiaBank, providing investment portfolio management, retirement planning and debt restructuring.
Mr. Isagon graduated from the Desautels School of Management at McGill University with a Bachelors in Commerce and a major in finance. He is currently a CFA level two candidate. He enjoys golfing, soccer and scuba diving and is a loyal supporter of the Toronto Raptors and Sheffield Wednesday F.C. |

| Eric Sevillia, Analyst. Prior to his position at Aleutian Capital, Mr. Sevillia worked in the Asset Allocation Group at Oppenheimer Asset Management Inc., helping financial advisors prepare allocation proposals and benchmarking implementations. He also has experience in business planning, market strategy and product development in the technology, healthcare and communication arenas. Prior to that, he worked as an associate in the Global Private Client Group at Merrill Lynch.
Mr. Sevillia graduated from the Stern School of Business at New York University with degrees in economics and finance. He enjoys running, playing tennis and traveling. |

| Marko Turcinov, Analyst. Mr. Turcinov was previously an analyst with The Prosperity Consulting Group, LLC, a wealth management firm. Early in his career, he held various positions with Union Capital Mortgage, a private mortgage bank.
Mr. Turcinov earned his MBA from Loyola College in Maryland with a concentration in finance, and also received a BBA in business economics from Loyola. He enjoyed a successful collegiate swimming career and was a John R. Mohler Award recipient, which designates the college’s top performing male student-athlete. He also served as a graduate assistant swim coach at Loyola College while studying for his MBA. Mr. Turcinov is Series 7 licensed. Outside the office, Mr. Turcinov maintains a strict diet and workout regimen and enjoys cooking, classical music and casual walks. |

Minh Horn, Office Manager. Ms. Horn worked for several of Germany’s largest financial institutions including UniCredit Group, HypoVereinsbank Markets & Investment Banking, Generali Lend Lease, and Motorola. At these companies, her roles have included managing all office operations, coordinating travel schedules for senior management, and handling event planning such as major VIP events during the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Munich. Ms. Horn attended the University of Applied Sciences and English at the European Business Collegiate in Munich, Germany. She enjoys travel, art, interior design and is also a big fan of the NHL.
